1. Introduction
reinvest.top llc ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates Calorica - AI Calorie Counter (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the App.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
2.1 Account Information
- Email address (used for account creation and authentication)
- Display name (optional, provided during account setup)
- Authentication tokens (securely stored on your device)
2.2 Food Photos
- When you use the AI Food Recognition feature, images of your meals are sent to our AI service for analysis.
- Food photos are processed in real time to generate calorie and macro estimates. Photos are not stored on our servers after processing is complete.
- We do not retain, archive, or use your food photos for any purpose beyond the immediate nutritional analysis.
2.3 Voice Input
- When you use the Voice Meal Logging feature, your voice input is processed to extract meal descriptions.
- Voice data is converted to text on-device or via a secure speech-to-text service. Audio recordings are not stored on our servers after processing.
- The resulting text description is used solely to log your meal data.
2.4 Nutrition Logs and Preferences
- Meals logged, calorie counts, macronutrient breakdowns, and daily nutrition summaries.
- Dietary goals, preferences, and settings you configure within the App.
- This data is stored locally on your device and, if you have an account, may be synced to our secure cloud infrastructure to enable cross-device access and backup.
2.5 Apple HealthKit Data

2.6 Device and Usage Information
- Device type, operating system version, and app version.
- General usage patterns (e.g., feature usage frequency) to improve app performance.
- Crash logs and diagnostics (collected via Apple's standard crash reporting).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
- Process food photos and voice inputs to deliver AI-powered nutritional analysis.
- Track and display your calorie and macro intake over time.
- Provide personalized nutrition insights and recommendations via the AI Nutrition Coach.
- Sync nutrition data with Apple HealthKit (with your explicit permission).
- Manage your subscription and account.
- Improve the App's performance, features, and user experience.
- Respond to your support requests and communications.
- Comply with legal obligations.
4. AI Processing and Third-Party AI Services
Calorica uses artificial intelligence to analyze food photos, process voice descriptions of meals, and provide nutrition coaching. These AI features are powered by Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service.
Important disclosures about AI processing:
- Food photos and voice-derived text are transmitted securely to Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service for analysis.
- Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service operates under Microsoft's enterprise data protection policies. Your data is not used to train, retrain, or improve Microsoft's AI models.
- Data sent to the AI service is processed in real time and is not retained by the AI service provider after the response is generated.
- All transmissions to the AI service are encrypted in transit using TLS 1.2 or higher.
- AI-generated calorie and macro estimates are approximations and should not be considered medical or clinical-grade nutritional data. See our Terms of Service for additional disclaimers.
5. Apple HealthKit Data
Calorica integrates with Apple HealthKit to provide a more comprehensive view of your health and nutrition. HealthKit integration is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission.
5.1 Data We Read from HealthKit
With your permission, we may read the following data types from Apple HealthKit:
- Steps (HKQuantityTypeIdentifierStepCount) — to estimate daily activity levels.
- Active Energy Burned (HKQuantityTypeIdentifierActiveEnergyBurned) — to calculate your total daily energy expenditure.
- Body Weight (HKQuantityTypeIdentifierBodyMass) — to personalize calorie recommendations.
- Heart Rate (HKQuantityTypeIdentifierHeartRate) — to refine energy expenditure calculations.
5.2 Data We Write to HealthKit
With your permission, we may write the following data types to Apple HealthKit:
- Dietary Energy (HKQuantityTypeIdentifierDietaryEnergyConsumed) — your logged calorie intake.
- Dietary Protein (HKQuantityTypeIdentifierDietaryProtein) — your logged protein intake.
- Dietary Carbohydrates (HKQuantityTypeIdentifierDietaryCarbohydrates) — your logged carbohydrate intake.
- Dietary Fat (HKQuantityTypeIdentifierDietaryFatTotal) — your logged fat intake.
5.3 HealthKit Data Protection
- HealthKit data is never shared with third parties, including advertising networks, data brokers, or analytics services.
- HealthKit data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes.
- HealthKit data is never sold to any third party for any reason.
- HealthKit data is not stored on our servers. It is read from and written to the HealthKit store on your device only.
- HealthKit data is used solely within the App to provide nutrition tracking, personalized calorie recommendations, and activity-aware energy calculations.
- We do not use HealthKit data to serve targeted content or build user profiles beyond the core functionality of the App.
5.4 Revoking HealthKit Access
You can revoke Calorica's access to HealthKit data at any time by going to the Health app on your iPhone, selecting "Calorica" under Data Sources, and toggling off any data types you no longer wish to share. Revoking access will not delete data already written to HealthKit by the App.
6. Subscription and Payment Processing
Calorica offers premium features via auto-renewable subscriptions managed through Apple's App Store.
- Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number, bank account details, or Apple Pay information.
- We use RevenueCat as our subscription management platform. RevenueCat receives anonymized transaction data from Apple to manage subscription status, entitlements, and analytics.
- RevenueCat may receive your anonymous App User ID, subscription product identifier, purchase date, expiration date, and transaction status. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or other personally identifiable information unless explicitly linked by us (which we do not do).

7. Advertising and Tracking
Calorica does not contain any advertising SDKs, ad networks, or third-party tracking frameworks.
- We do not display advertisements within the App.
- We do not use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or cross-app tracking identifiers.
- We do not share user data with advertising networks or data brokers.
- We do not participate in any data-sharing arrangements for advertising purposes.
8. Data Storage and Security
We take the security of your data seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect it:
- Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using the iOS Keychain (via Expo SecureStore).
- All network communications are encrypted using TLS 1.2 or higher.
- Backend infrastructure is hosted on Microsoft Azure with enterprise-grade security controls.
- Nutrition logs and preferences may be stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage.
- We retain your account data only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services.
While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
9. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: Microsoft Azure (cloud infrastructure and AI processing), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Apple (payment processing). These providers only receive data necessary to perform their services and are bound by their respective privacy policies.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Safety: We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the App of any such change.
10. Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Right to Know: You have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which that information was collected, the business purpose for collecting the information, and the categories of third parties with whom we share the information.
- Right to Delete: You have the right to request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions provided by law.
- Right to Correct: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing: We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Therefore, there is no need to opt out.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA/CPRA rights.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: We only use sensitive personal information (if any) for purposes permitted under the CPRA.

11. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@getcalorica.com.
12. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Account Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App by navigating to Profile > Delete Account. Upon account deletion:
- Your account credentials and profile information are permanently removed from our servers.
- Your nutrition logs and preferences stored on our servers are permanently deleted.
- Locally stored data on your device is cleared.
- Data previously written to Apple HealthKit is not deleted (you can manage this directly in the Health app).
- Subscription status managed by Apple/RevenueCat may be retained per their respective data retention policies.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
13. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers and service providers are located. If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country of residence.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or on our website and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
